What to know before you come

The questions patients and families ask most, by topic. We keep rewriting them from what our first patients actually go through.

Medical visa

Short courses of treatment use the C-3-3 medical tourism visa (up to 90 days), based on a hospital invitation and booking confirmation that we prepare. Treatment running beyond 90 days (transplant, follow-up after particle therapy) can switch to the G-1-10 long-term treatment visa after entry, and accompanying family or carers may stay with you where the need is recognised. Processing times differ by country; your coordinator will advise.

Deposit and payment

The hospital takes part of the estimated cost as a deposit before treatment and settles the balance at discharge. Card and bank transfer are both accepted; the amount and method are set out in the estimate. The review fee and concierge fees are separate, and the review fee is credited against your bill when you go ahead with treatment.

Flights and accommodation

We meet you at Incheon Airport and drive you to your accommodation — as standard, a residence within walking distance of the hospital; for VIP, a hotel or serviced residence. Long stays such as particle therapy or transplant are priced by the week.

Interpreting

A medical interpreter sits in on consultations, tests and consent. English, Chinese and Russian are standard; other languages are confirmed at consultation. Interpreters also join video calls.

Medication and insurance

Bring your current medication with a copy of the prescription; narcotic and psychotropic drugs need prior approval. Whether your overseas insurance applies is confirmed against the insurer's documents, and we provide itemised hospital bills for claims.

Accompanying family

One accompanying family member is standard; childcare, diet and religious needs are handled by the concierge. Isolation wards have strict visiting rules, which the interpreter will explain.

After you return

You receive a multilingual treatment summary with copies of your imaging and prescriptions, and follow-up and prescriptions continue remotely (formally permitted from May 2027). A three-way video consultation with your local physician can be arranged.
